VSS Series – Vertical Sump Pumps

VSS Series pumps are versatile, medium-duty vertical centrifugal sump pumps engineered for reliable operation in mineral processing, coal prep, chemical handling, sugar beet, fly ash, and aggregate industries. Available in metal (VSS) or rubber-lined (VSR) configurations, these pumps deliver proven performance in demanding slurry applications across a wide range of particle sizes and slurry compositions.

The VSS Series supports sump depths up to 2 meters using optional suction extensions and maintains pumping even when the upper inlet is unsubmerged. This design ensures efficient operation in fluctuating sump levels without priming. Their robust vertical cantilever design eliminates the need for gland seals or submerged bearings, reducing operational costs and maintenance requirements.

VSS models feature abrasion-resistant metal wet ends ideal for coarse, sharp slurries, while VSR rubber-lined models offer extended service life in soft particle or corrosive environments such as uranium or gold ore processing. Both variants can be paired with VTP Series pumps to form hybrid high-performance systems.
