SLF Series vertical centrifugal pumps are engineered-to-order, steam-jacketed solutions designed specifically for the production, processing and transfer of molten sulphur in gas processing plants, refineries, and acid plants. Available in submerged bearing and cantilevered shaft configurations, they handle both clean and “dirty” sulphur with high reliability.
The robust vertical design eliminates the shaft sealing issues common in horizontal sulphur pumps, offering greater safety and environmental protection. Submerged models are ideal for clean sulphur applications, while the cantilevered design with no submerged bearings is preferred for handling sulphur containing solids or impurities.
Self-lubricated line-shaft bearings, when used, rely on the molten sulphur itself for lubrication, eliminating external systems and enhancing system simplicity and uptime. The heavy-duty construction ensures vibration-free, smooth operation with high specific gravity media, even at full duty.
SLF pumps are manufactured in compliance with API, HI, and general industry standards and can be custom-built to fit any plant layout or depth, up to 8.5 meters.
